Bowery Boogie: Downtown Art Scene

The Lower East Side is in full bloom! Learn how the LES transformed from a slum to a fashionable art hub. Immigrants have been replaced with hipsters and pickle stands for art galleries.
Visit prominent galleries exhibiting artworks by the most critically acclaimed artists. As we navigate our way to the galleries we will view murals by the edgiest street artists such as Shepard Fairey, the artist responsible for the iconic Barack Obama Hope portrait. We will also wander into the famous Freeman Alley which will make you temporarily forget that you're in NYC and you will feel like you’re in Europe. We will end the tour at Louis the cafe/marketplace within the ever so trendy Public hotel located at 215 Chrystie Street.
